There are a number of orthopedic conferences and meetings held throughout the year. We put together this list to help you stay up to date. You’ll find clinical meetings, as well as meetings for executives and administrators. Can’t find the information you’re looking for? Check back–we’ll be updating as new information is available.

It is possible that planned in-person events may be canceled or moved to a virtual format depending on their locations. AAOS Annual Meeting
March 22-26, 2022
Chicago, IL
At the AAOS Annual Meeting, orthopedic surgeons from all over the country to network, see exhibits, share research, and attend educational presentations. This meeting is open to all AAOS members, and is one of the biggest conferences of the year for orthopedic surgeons.
American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine (AOASM) Annual Conference
March 23-27, 2022
Orlando, FL
This year, AOASM is teaming up with the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) for a joint meeting. Topics discussed at the conference will include sports medicine, but also the “body, mind, and spirit,” of athletes, and how these principles can come together for an improved practice approach.
Mid-America Orthopaedic Association 2022 Annual Meeting
April 6-10, 2022
San Antonio, TX
The Mid-America Orthopaedic Association (MAOA) is open to orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. Attendees can earn CME credits on a number of topics.
California Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting
April 7-10, 2022
Indian Wells, CA
Attendees of this conference include orthopaedic surgeons, residents, and fellows. In addition to the available CME courses, there will also be a number of social events. The meeting is returning to an in-person format after last year’s virtual event.
California BONES Society (C-BONES) Annual Meeting at the COA Annual Meeting
April 7-10, 2022
Indian Wells, CA
C-BONES is a society for practice managers, so it provides the opportunity for practice managers to attend alongside surgeons. This event usually happens at the same time as the COA Annual Meeting.
American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM) Annual Conference
April 8-13, 2022
Austin, TX
AMSSM is an organization for sports medicine specialists. Attendees are able to go to several presentations and workshops, some of which offer CME credits. Topics cover different aspects of sports medicine, including treatment and surgical approaches, diet and exercise, and new developments in sports medicine.
Texas Orthopaedic Association (TOA) Annual Conference
April 22-23, 2022
Austin, TX
TOA is an organization dedicated to ensuring the musculoskeletal health of patients in Texas. Their annual meeting is open to orthopaedic surgeons, allied health providers, residents, and fellows practicing in Texas. Attendees will have the opportunity to see presentations, earn CME credits, network, and meet with vendors.
6th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Orthopedic Value-Based Care
April 29-30, 2022
Newport Beach, CA
The goal of this transformative conference is to apply the triple aim principles to orthopedic patients undergoing surgery. We achieve this goal by breaking the “silos” and bringing together and educating all the stakeholders involved in the orthopedic patient’s journey. One day of the conference will be dedicated to the future of orthopedics with the 1st Annual Interdisciplinary Conference on the Future of Orthopedics (I-CFO).
Virginia Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting

Attendees of this meeting are able to attend a number of presentations and earn CME credits for some of those events. They also have the opportunity to network with several medical device and pharmaceutical vendors.
American Association of Orthopaedic Executives (AAOE) Annual Meeting
April 29 – May 2, 2022
Chicago, IL
This annual conference focuses on orthopaedic practice management and the challenges that come along with it. More than 500 orthopaedic practice executives from across the country attend this event. Events include educational sessions, pre-conference sessions, and networking events. This event will also have a virtual component.
American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting & World Congress
May 31 – June 4, 2022
San Diego, CA
The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting is for sports medicine professionals from every aspect of the specialty. Topics discussed include exercise science and sports injuries. Attendees also have the opportunity to view exhibits from vendors.
American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) Annual Meeting
June 14-18, 2022
Providence, RI
The annual AOA meeting provides a chance for orthopaedic professionals to connect with colleagues and expand leadership knowledge. CME opportunities are also available. Topics range from academic to leadership and management-focused subjects.
Florida Orthopaedic Society (FOS) Annual Meeting
June 23-26, 2022
Palm Beach, FL
This conference includes clinical presentations from either residents, fellows, medical students, or society members. Orthopaedic surgeons attending this meeting will have the opportunity to earn CME credits.
American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Annual Meeting
July 13-17, 2022
Colorado Springs, CO
This year, AOSSM is celebrating its 50-year anniversary. The program is focused on sports medicine and arthroscopy, and there are a number of instructional courses and workshops for attendees to earn CME credits. There will also be social events.
Southern Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting
July 20-23, 2022
White Sulphur Springs, WV
The Southern Orthopaedic Association is open to orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, as well as Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. The Annual Meeting gives attendees an opportunity to earn CME credits on a number of topics in orthopaedics.
Western Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting

The Western Orthopaedic Association is open to orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. Attendees can earn CME credits on a number of topics.
Clinical Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting
September 7-10, 2022

The Clinical Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting is aimed at orthopaedic surgeons and residents, sports medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and physical and occupational therapists. Attendees can earn CME credits on topics related to orthopaedic surgery and care and meet with vendors and service providers.
American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS) Annual Meeting
September 14-17, 2022
Québec City, Canada
Attendees of this in-person meeting can earn CME credits on a number of topics related to foot and ankle care. The meeting is usually also available On-Demand after the event, but presenters of papers, physical posters, and audio posters must attend in-person.
Orthopaedic Summit 2022: Evolving Techniques (OSET)
September 21-24, 2022
Boston, MA
Orthopaedic Summit is the premier gathering of orthopaedic professionals across the globe. Attendees include orthopaedic surgeons in a variety of specialties, as well as physician assistants, nurse practitioners, athletic trainers, and physical and occupational therapists. This event offers CME credits and typically features cadaveric and live surgical demonstrations, debates, and group discussions on the latest orthopaedic techniques.
American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) Annual Meeting
September 29 – October 1, 2022
Boston, MA
The ASSH is a society for hand surgeons in different areas, including orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, and general surgeons. This meeting is open to surgeons, physician assistants, residents, and fellows-in-training specializing in hand surgery. There will also be a virtual attendance option available for those who cannot attend in person.
Georgia Orthopaedic Society Annual Meeting
October 6-8, 2022
Sea Island, GA
Orthopaedic surgeons in Georgia can meet up with other colleagues in the state. Attendees can earn CME credits, and there are also social activities for attendees and their family members. Attendees can also visit vendor exhibits to learn more about products and services that can help their practices.
Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society Fall Meeting
October 6-8, 2022
Hershey, PA
This meeting was designed for orthopaedic surgeons, residents, fellows, and medical students planning to specialize in orthopaedic surgery. Attendees can see presentations and exhibits, and earn CME credits.
Eastern Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting

Naples, FL
The Eastern Orthopaedic Association is open to orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands. Attendees will have an opportunity to earn CME credits and participate in various social events.
North Carolina Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting

This meeting is open to orthopaedic surgeons, physician assistants, retired members, residents, and fellows-in-training in North Carolina. The goal of the meeting is to provide an opportunity to continue medical education and network.
American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO) Fall Annual Meeting

American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) Annual Meeting
November 3-6, 2022
Grapevine, TX
The AAHKS is a society for hip and knee surgeons, surgeons in training, and other hip and knee care professionals. The annual meeting is open to surgeons, as well as residents, non-physician team members, and surgeons administrators. Attendees have the opportunity to meet with vendors and see presentations on topics ranging from implant design, surgical techniques, outcomes, and complications of hip and knee surgery. CME credits are also available.
The Bones Society of Florida (BSOF) Annual Conference
